While effective, these caps are disposable, requires use large amounts of adhesive, causes product to seep through the material and will tear during use.

We decided to create a solution to these problems and it's crafted from durable materials with adjustable features, making it a sustainable option for daily use.

What do we suggest for the new Bald Cap Method?

The first step in doing the new bald cap method is to get all of your supplies ready. To complete this technique, you’ll need to gather the following supplies:

• The reusable bald cap by SkynCap
• Lace wig glue/adhesive
• A blow-dryer
• Melting band
• Small, sharp scissors (preferably zig-zag scissors)
• Makeup foundation in your preferred shade (or the SkynCap concealer stick)

Step-by-step guide to applying the Reusable Bald Cap

1) Prepare your hair: Start with clean, dry hair. If you have longer hair, braid or wrap it flat against your head to create a smooth base.

2) Apply lace glue/adhesive: Apply a thin layer of skin-safe adhesive below your hairline perimeter. The glue should not touch your hairline. Use a blow drier on low heat to ensure the adhesive becomes clear & tacky. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions for drying time.

3) Position the Reusable Bald Cap: Carefully place the reusable bald cap over your head, ensuring it sits snugly around your hairline. Use the adjustable strap to tighten as needed to achieve a natural fit. 

4) Secure the bald cap: Gently press down on the edges of the bald cap to secure it to your skin. Smooth out any wrinkles or air bubbles for a seamless look.

Tip: To prevent wrinkles on the faux-skin material, ensure the adjustable straps are tightly fitted.

5) Trim excess cap: If the bald cap extends beyond your hairline, carefully trim the excess faux-skin material using scissors. Take your time to avoid cutting too close to your hairline.
